Spruce Meadows from above.

Spruce Meadows from above.

I think I have said this a million times, but Spruce Meadows is like no other horse show facility in the world. Not only does it host some of the best competitions in the sport, and attract the world’s best riders, but its grounds are absolutely incredible. Impeccably manicured and landscaped, the grounds are a treat just to walk around. Well kept flower beds, hanging baskets, big colourful planters – there are enough plants to bring out the inner horticulturist in just about anyone! Past the greenery, everything is designed to be aesthetically pleasing. The barns are a huge standout, but even the concessions are designed to blend in with the atmosphere.

I could keep typing forever and still not do the facility justice, so here are some photos that I took. I tried to capture the feeling of Spruce, but really, if you are a Horse Junkie, Spruce Meadows deserves a visit so that you can experience the magic yourself!
