At 18 months old my son, J.P. Armstrong, is so comfortable around horses he can give his sisters pony rides, under a very watchful eye of an adult, or two.  They say horses are in your blood and he is horse crazy.

In this picture J.P. is leading his sister Taylor on Prince Charming (aka: Sebi) – a wonderful pony owned by Erin Amos of Top of the Hill Farm in Coldwater.  Erin has kindly let my triplets take turns showing him.  So far J.P. has competed at the July RCRA Trillium Show in the leadline class (picture below of him clapping for his fellow competitors) where he tied for first with the 3 other leadliners.

His sister, Taylor, has competed at the Trillium at Palgrave show in May and the June Joker’s Hill Trillium Show in the leadline where she was 2nd and 1st respectively.  The last triplet, Ashton, will make her debut in the leadline at the Zone Classic Trillium show this weekend at Palgrave.

The plan is all three will compete at the Trillium Championships in the lead line division, being the first set of triplets to EVER compete at the same time in the lead line class at the Championships. They will be just shy of 21 months. I just need to find three outfits, luckily three ponies at Top of the Hill Farm have qualified.
