New Year’s Resolutions are not only for people… horses should make some too! Here are our horses’ resolutions for 2015.

Finn is a grey, and slowing turning white.  He has been practicing using poo for a pillow so his New Year’s Resolution is to try using clean shavings for a pillow.  Note the big brown patch on his cheek…

Sky has been quite good this year, well none have been bad, but he has had a variety of neighbours lately.  This is because he and his neighbours have been playing too much, too hard and getting themselves into trouble. So far Sky has had the needs of the vet for a head puncture, as well as various cuts, scraps and puffy legs due to “over playing” with his friends. His New Year’s Resolution is to try and play nice with his friends so no one gets hurt.

Romeo had a long and hard think about his Resolution.  In fact, he didn’t like the one I chose for him and I had a hard time pinning his Resolution on him.   He says he will try to keep all four shoes on at all times for the next year.  Eventually he agreed he has four feet and all four have shoes on them, or all four ‘should’ have shoes on them at all times.

Frodo – the cutest pony you can imagine – is like the girl with the curl.  And this year, he would like to try and stop nipping the farrier’s backside when he gets his feet done.

Resolutions are always a challenge, but these guys are up for it.  Let’s see if we can get thru January and then build up to the whole year!
