Barn friends, trainers, barn managers and everyone in between… There is something for everyone and something for every budget*. To make the process of gifting even easier, I have put together a foolproof list of gifts any equestrian is sure to love this holiday season made by some awesome small businesses.
Price Range: $1-$25
Dreamers & Schemers boot socks have taken the horse world by storm. Their socks range from USD$8-$15.50 per pair so they are super affordable and you can also buy multi-pair packs. These socks are a nylon/knit hybrid so they last much longer than a typical nylon boot sock but aren’t thick or bulky at all like typical knit boot socks. Not to mention the amazing prints they come in, they have avocados, doughnuts, cats, Beyoncé and pretty much anything else you can dream up. If they don’t have what you’re looking for on a boot sock, they also do custom socks!
Price Range: $26- $50
For the $26 to $50 range, Shop Hunt Club is the destination. Within this range, they have their classic “Derby Belt” that is both stylish and affordable at US$34.00. Another favourite of mine are their beanies, these hats are not only cute but also very useful for winter months in and out of the barn. Another option is their curb chain charm bracelet. I have been admiring this bracelet forever and I know I’m not the only one. Pick it up for USD$30.00.
Price Range: $51-$75
A longtime favourite small business of mine, Black Knight Accessories. The Black Knight Rider Wristlet is a fantastic gift for any equestrian. Designed to easily attach to your belt, this wristlet keeps your phone (and/or money, credit cards, etc) safely zipped inside while riding or whatever other activity you use it for. They typically range from $50 to about $70 CAD and can also be personalized with a nameplate through Black Knight. All wristlets come with a wrist strap so you can take it out with you wherever you go, belt or no belt. These wristlets are both gorgeous and functional. I have 3 so I can easily speak for their qualities, every equestrian needs one.
Price Range: $76-$100
Bonnets. My weakness. I originally came across this awesome Canadian company, Fine Design Bonnets, on social media and let me tell you, their products are beyond beautiful. A horse size bonnet starts at CAD$70 which includes up to three different trim colours! With a small added cost, rhinestones and/or Swarovski crystal can be added to up the bling factor because sparkles are always a good idea. In the market for bonnets, Fine Design Bonnets are a fantastic price and look fantastic in the ring. These are a wonderful gift for a friend, or you know, “treat yoself”.
There you have it, gift ideas for every budget that will make any equestrian squeal with joy. Happy shopping!
